Challenging our Thoughts

Events by themselves have no emotional content.  It is your interpretation of an event that causes your emotions.  If you change the thought, you can change the feeling.  We all have automatic thoughts that are damaging and preventing us from leading the life we want.  It's important to recognize that thoughts create and sustain emotions.  To reduce the frequency of painful emotions, you need to listen to what you think, then ask how true your thoughts are.  Below are tools that you can use to help analyze your thoughts and work through negative emotions.
