The World Health Organization defines self- care as " the ability of individuals, families and communities to promote health, prevent disease, maintain health, and cope with illness and disability with or without the support of a healthcare provider."

It is important for people of all ages to have some ways to take care of themselves. children should try different things for them to figure out what works for them.
There are many challenges, suggestions, and ideas on the internet about self- care. Pick what works for you. Set aside time everyday to practice self care.
So why should we practice self- care? Self care isn't about being selfish or self-absorbent. It isn't going to spoil you and it isn't about taking anything away from your life right now.
