Gilbert Plains Elementary School students made over 85 hand-made Valentine’s Day cards to send to veterans who are in long-term care facilities across Canada to thank them for their service. The younger students decorated the fronts of the cards and the older students wrote poems and greetings to go inside the cards. The cards are distributed to the veterans through Veterans Affairs
